About

I am an Assistant Professor in the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics group at UC San Diego. I received my PhD in Statistics at the University of Georgia, Department of Statistics, under the direction of Professors Wenxuan Zhong, Gauri Datta, and Ping Ma. I am interested in nonparametric function estimation and Bayesian spline smoothing analysis related problems in statistics. I am also collaborating with other labs working on small RNA related data and studying the role of small RNAs in transcriptional gene silencing and maintenance of genome stability in plants and nematodes.
